Fitbit Finder - lost Fitbit App Reviews

It works very well

Colour me impressed. I was out trail building in the bush, mowing weeds and cutting back undergrowth. Twice before I’ve lost my Fitbit 1 along the 8km of trail that I maintain, and both times I got lucky and happened to spot it on the ground. This time, no luck. The grass was waist high and who knows where it fell. Couldn’t find it after 3km of checking. A quick search turned up this app. $4.99 seemed worth the chance of not replacing my Fitbit. And wow, does it work! I walked back along the trail where I thought I lost the Fitbit, pinging the app repeatedly. Within minutes I got a signal, and a quick back-and-forth with the signal strength meter narrowed the location to within a metre. And there it was, under some long grass. Very impressive bit of software that does exactly what’s promised, very easily, and very fast. The signal strength meter is nicely done! Good job, Front Seat!

Crap

I cant believe I paid for this dung. I was less that five feet from my fitbit and the app was not picking up a signal. I was close enough that it was syncing with my phone - but still no signal. I want my frigging money back.

Works as described!

Found my Fitbit Flex even after many days being lost and low charge. Between mattress and bed frame, LOL. Thanks!

Be aware

Be aware you need an iPhone 4s and up for it to work with the blue tooth wish I knew this before I bought it

Amazing!!!

Found my wifes FitBit in five minutes, after it had been lost in the house for three weeks. Best $5 I ever spent. One caveat. It wouldnt run on my iPhone 4. Needs a 5C or 5S, for Bluetooth 4.0.

AMAZING

I had no recollection of losing my fitbit, so I didnt know if I had lost it at home, at work, or ANYWHERE. However after scanning many places with no luck, I finally scanned it at work. It gave me a signal straight away, and using the app I was able to locate my fitbit in the basement of my work where I would have NEVER looked. Best $4.99 Ive ever spent as it saved me $100. LOVE.

Found

Put me in the correct room and then use your eyes

So impressed!

I thought for sure Id lost my Fitbit for good. Downloaded this all as a last ditch effort... and found it within ten minutes, in my husbands toolkit. Best app purchase ever!

Worked perfectly!

But remember if you have more than one FitBit to choose the right one by swiping back and forth between scans. Searched forever and kept coming back to my wifes FitBit. Would be great if app asked you which device before you begin search. Still I found my FitBit in less than 5 mins once I figured that out :)

Fitbit finder

I lost my Fitbit and was able to retrace my steps and using the Fitbit Finder was able to determine which store I lost it in, & eventually retrieve it from Costco. In Costco it was able to pin point its exact location. Very impressed. If only you could make the Fitbit beep.

Worth the 5$!

It does work!!

Asking for a tip is crass

This is a clever idea that actually works. I didnt need this app, but I purchased it out of curiosity after coming across it while searching the App Store for the new Fitbit app. I like to support developers who offer creative solutions to problems that others overlook, so I took a gamble and bought this app. (Fitbit really should have integrated a signal finder like this into the standard Fitbit app a LONG time ago, given how easily these devices fall off or get lost.) $4.99 for a simple app like this is a bit ridiculous, given the complexity and the amount of work that goes into many app that sell for $4.99 (or less). Desperate customers (lost Fitbit, hoping to avoid paying $50 - $100 for a new device) are the ideal target for opportunistic pricing. What is truly crass, though is the developer asking for a tip on a paid app.

Really works

Takes time but u will find it to me a hour to pinpoint the highest signal and then you just got to look. Found it in the back of my closet. I did get signal downstairs under my closet but couldnt find it then came back up and there she was. This app saved me 200 bucks 100 for this fit bit an 100 for the next one I would have bought

Works as advertised

Works as advertised within my house. Obviously to reviewers who lose their FitBit outside "somewhere" youre probably out of luck.

Almost Unbelievable!

On Boxing Day, my wife and I went walking in a local conservation area. Somewhere along the way, I lost my Fitbit One. Despite searching for it, we couldnt find it. I looked for an app that might have some GPS capability for fitbits and found this one. Today, much to my wifes amazement, this app led us directly to my Fitbit. It detected the Fitbit and got louder as we got closer. Well worth the money and the use of this app literally made our day! Thanks!

Does not work!

Dont buy! It could not locate my Fitbit Charge even 2 inches away!! Instead, use the free app LightBlue -Bluetooth Low Energy

Didnt work

Lost new Fitbit charge in the house, did not work to find it - showed nothing when pinging with app, or when directly beside it after found with free lightblue app. Not recommended.

Crap

Im literally holding my phone in one hand, and my Fitbit Charge in the other and it says "no signal found." Dont waste your money...

it works

the thing worked. Bottom line.

Pointless

If you are still receiving a signal, set your fitbit for a minute in the future and follow the buzzing. I just saved you $5. Youre welcome.
